So Honda goes (just like Max & Bernie said the manufacturers eventually would) - who is next? I see the boss at Williams is confidently predicting another pull out by one of the big boys pre-season.

Such a shame that the FIA alliance with the small teams collapsed amid much fear and loathing in 2004. No more Jordan, no more Sauber, no more Minardi. Speaking of which ...

The recent changes to F1 just announced for the 2010 Championship should make the sport more accessible to both new and smaller teams. Maybe we will see another Minardi!

Formula one could soon be changed forever whether that is a good or bad thing remains to be seen only time will tell on that one a 40 million pounds budget limit sounds reasonable to me but mybe the big teams are'nt all that intersted in the idea of a level playing field mybe having newer teams would be a new start for the Sport. Max Mosley should enforce these new rules in my view to make it fairer but mybe I'm in the minority on this one. I was rather saddened about Minardi's demise from what little I know about it one of their black cars looked rather good, I have sat in a red formula one car once at the Birmingham Nec Motor Show while in my early 20's I'm now 32 it cost me a fiver to have my photograph taken in it it was hard squeezing into it it was very narrow and I was very emberassed at the time as I needed both help getting into it and out of it too, a unique experience that I really enjoyed I'm not sure I have the photograph anymore though pity I enjoyed it but Oh Boy was it narrow. My favourate game although not a sport is Air Hockey though.

I am not sure with some of the main formula one teams wanting to set up their own competion is either a good or bad thing if all sponsership goes to the breakaway teams then the remainder of formula one mybe doomed although some new smaller teams have come forward already is very welcome it is anyone's guess really just where it all goes from here, Here's to a bright new start and era in formula one racing I say, I will miss Barchello a bit I have sat in his car for real some years ago at the Birmingham NEC Arena and have never forgotten what it felt like in spite of the fact the car could'nt go anywhere as it was indoors at the time. sunny monkey

PostSubject: Formula one teams recently backing down.   Formula One meltdown I_icon_minitimeSat Jun 27, 2009 11:38 am

I was somewhat disapointed to hear just recently that Max Mosley had said he will stand down I'm not his biggest fan but if the big teams had pulled out I think it would have been interesting to see how it would have panned out with separate competions I will always now wonder what may have been. I much prefor smaller teams in formula one, Minardis demise was unfortunate. Embarassed I love you
