Cafe Racer memories wanted for 2009 book

Hello cafe racer fans - did you modify your Dommie back in the 50s or 60s, ride a Triton, Tribsa, Enfield Continental GT 250 or perhaps a Norvin?

Maybe your dream bike was a Dunstall Suzuki, or Seeley Honda in the 70s, or did you build a Spondon, Moto Martin, Anglo Bike special or Rickman Metisse in the 80s?

I am writing a book called the cafe racer phenomenon, due to be published in 2009 at Veloce, and I need personal memories of the bikes, the characters, the great places where riders met to show off their specials, speed test them, drink coffee and compare tweaked engines and chassis mods.

If you can help and spare 15 mins for a chat, or wouldn't mind me coming along to a club night or event in January/February 2009, please PM me at this forum.

thanks to Sarah and a couple of other people who tracked me down after my shameful performance on Ken Bruice's Popmaster quiz yesterday!
